Plumspace on a computer: a room with photos, replies and its members
Plumspace on a phone: the list of rooms with unread counts

01What it does

One place for the day's work, not another inbox.

Built for a company of tens of people who need to reach each other, from the office to the workshop floor.

01

Rooms and threads

A room for every team, project and announcement, private when it needs to be. A side question goes into a thread and the room stays readable.

02

Calls that ring

Voice and video between two people, through your own relay. A call rings a locked phone the way a phone call does.

03

Files and photos

Photos, documents and voice messages straight from the phone. Every room keeps a gallery, searchable by name, type and month.

04

Find your place

A room opens at the first message you have not read. Search the whole history, typed with or without Vietnamese accents.

05

Give somebody a job

Turn any message into a piece of work for someone, and follow it in the room until it is done.

06

Keeps going offline

When the signal drops at the gate, the app still opens and shows the latest messages it kept. It catches up when you are back.

02Technical data

What it is, stated plainly.

Read off the code, not written for the brochure. The technology page has the long version, with the drawings.

Server
One Rust process, one PostgreSQL 18Shipped as one container image of 39.6 MB, web client included. A small machine of your own is enough.
Apps
Web, Mac, Windows, Android, iPhoneOne app for every company. It asks for your workspace's address the first time it opens.
Notifications
Sent by your server, directlyIt talks to Apple and Google itself, with keys it holds. No gateway in between and nobody metering them.
Calls
Through your own relayVoice and video between two people. When a direct path is blocked, the call goes through a relay on your machine.
Updates
Signed, then checkedAn app installs a version only when the list's Ed25519 signature matches the key built into it, and every file's SHA-512 matches the list.
Encryption
In transit, not end to endTraffic is encrypted on the wire. The text travels inside the phone notification by design, and the server that holds it is yours.
Tracking
NoneNo advertising and no analytics in the apps. The publisher never sees your messages.
Tested
837 Rust tests, about 1,850 TypeScriptRun against a real PostgreSQL before every change is kept.

03Your server, your data

Your conversations never leave the building you choose.

Plumspace is a server your company runs and apps that connect to it. Nobody sits in between, and nobody reads along.

  • 01
One server, one databaseA single program and PostgreSQL, on a small machine of your own.
  • 02
No ads, no trackingThe apps carry no advertising and no analytics. The publisher never sees your messages.
  • 03
Every look is on the recordWhen the head of the organisation opens a private conversation, it takes a reason and leaves a trace everyone can see.
  • 04
Signed updatesThe apps install a new version only when its list carries the publisher's signature.

04On the phone

Made for the hand, not shrunk from the desk.

Notices grouped per room and cleared when you read elsewhere, a back swipe that follows your thumb, and a call screen that wakes a locked phone.

A room with photos and replies
Every roomPhotos, replies and who has read it.
A thread with fourteen replies
ThreadsA side question with its own space.
A room's details: topic, who has read and members
Who is hereMembers, roles and who is online.
